The Integrity of God
Memory Verse: ” God is not a man, that he should lie; the son of man, that he should repent: hath he said, and shall he not do it? or hath He spoken, and shall He not make it good?” — Numbers 23:19
Integrity is the quality of being honest and upright in character. It is adherence to moral and ethical principles. It simply means saying what you will do and doing what you say. There are fundamental questions to be asked about the integrity of God. Who is God? How reliable are His words or promises? Does He have the capacity to do what He has said?
God is unchangeable (Malachi 3:6a). He also upholds His integrity through His words because:
His word is true (John 17:17)
His word is certain (Isaiah 40:8; Psalm 119:89)
His word is pure (Proverbs 30:5; Psalm 12:6)
His word is life (John 6:63)
His word is quick and powerful (Hebrews 4:12)
